Mommy and Mini spring style

Mommy and Mini spring style

Hello my loves! Spring is in the air and I’m loving it. Did you all check out my spring favorites post?! We are enjoying the nice weather so much. We’ve started up our daily evening walks again. When the time changes and the weather is perfect we get in an evening walk when the Hubs gets home. We love it, We walk around our area try to get 2 miles in. And this weekend Breaker learned how to ride his big boy bike(training wheels).  So he rode his bike on our walk for the first time this week and did so good. It’s a nice way to get some family time in away from phones and exercise.

So Mom life update. I’m starting to figure out some things to do once the kids are off for summer. I’ll be putting up a blog post on some of the ideas I get. trying to stay local, inexpensive and good for both my 14-year-old and 4-year-old. I really want to get more outdoors with them before it gets too hot. So stay tuned for what I come up with!

Today’s blog post is all about spring style.  And I have my side kick to show how to jazz up a boys spring outfit. I absolutely love blazers. They looks so good with denim. It’s really a favorite look of mine. I did a blazer look a few post back with jeans. Now that we are in spring, I think this look is so appropriate for the season.

My look I pretty much had everything I’m wearing since last year other than the blazer. I purchased the blazer right before Easter from Target. I also spotted the same blazer in pink. I think I’ll be snagging that too. My shorts I purchased about 2 years ago from Urban outfitters. I love them. It’s so hard to find the perfect pair of Jean shorts. My shoes are from Aldo I love them and they are on sale now. I added some orange earrings to jazz it up. Some tips I have, with just adding a new pair of earrings or a blazer to some items you already have in your closet can really make a new cute look. Shop within your closet I bet you can make a cute look!

For Breakers look I wanted to spice up his shorts and plain white tee. He was in a wedding a couple of weeks ago and This was his blazer to his suit. I’m trying to get more wears before it doesn’t fit. It was a linen suit so perfect for spring. I love adding jean jackets or cute cardigans to his outfits. They just make a plain outfit look so much cuter. With boys outfits can get pretty plain. So I always find ways to make my boys outfits pop!

Hope you like my Mommy and Mini spring style and got some helpful tips. You ladies have a great week! Till next post.

Mommy and Mini LA winter style

Mommy and Mini LA winter style

Hello Beauties! How are you all? I hope you all are doing great. I’m doing good. I got back on Sunday from visiting my Mom in Sacramento. It’s always a great time just always too short. I went up with my older sister, niece,Breaker and my sister’s 2 dogs. The drive can seem like forever but once we arrive it’s great. We tried a few new places that I hadn’t been. My mom has been up there for 5 years so every time we go up we try to do something new. If you are ever up North in Sacramento, She lives in Gold River so you have an idea of where. You need to go to historic Folsom it’s such a cute place. All the buildings are Victorian. We ate at Chicago fire, It’s so good. Another place we ate at that I highly recommend is Tower Cafe. It’s in Midtown, Such a cute and delicious restaurant. If you’ve never been and are planning to visit I recommend you also try Dutch Bros. Coffee. Let’s just say Breaker was obsessed. He got the kids chocolate shake and I recommend the Chai tea latte, Don’t forget to ask for the party on top, LOL! It’s a thing so ask. Just a little recommendations in case you visit.

For today’s post I felt like I hadn’t done a mommy and mini style in a while. I love having Breaker match me occasionally. I mean my oldest won’t, LOL! I think it’s fun and he’s my mini me. Living in LA we don’t get winter like other places. And I start to get tired of the dark colors. By this time I start to crave spring colors. Even picking my nail colors around this time gets challenging. I know it’s not time for the bright colors but I start to gravitate towards those spring colors.

This look I thought it was fitting for my mood right now. It’s still appropriate for LA winter, But this beautiful yellow moto jacket just gives me all the spring feels. My sister bought this gorgeous jacket for me for christmas. It’s from Zara, I will try to find it and link below. If not I’ll find one similar. I matched it with a simple tank and my favorite jeans. I just threw on some simple nude sandals.

Breaker’s look was pretty simple. My mom bought him the overalls for Christmas. I’m a little sad because they were a little tight, So he just wore them once. I’m glad I have these photos since he couldn’t wear them more. I just matched it up with a white tee and his pop of yellow to match mommy was on his Vans. He’s such a little Ham in front of the Camera so I always love these shoots.

I love putting these together ,so us Mom’s of boys can see we can too match with our boys. It’s fun and they grow so fast so we don’t get to do this very long. Hope you ladies liked this post. Wishing you all a great rest of the week and fabulous weekend. Till next post.

Hello Ladies! Hope you all are having a wonderful week. I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve written. I’m barely getting used to the every Wednesday Blog post. Eventually I will go back to twice a week. But for now every Wednesday it will be. I want to try to make those worth your reading! I can’t believe the holidays are coming so fast. It’s crazy! I am getting a little stressed. But will all get through it.

Next week on the blog I’ll be giving a little life update and my monthly blog update. I wanted to do this up into my first year of blogging. It’s important for me to keep all of you updated with my journey. So with that said let’s get into this fun post.

IMG_3442IMG_3433IMG_3414IMG_3439IMG_3422IMG_3418

Today I wanted to share these outfits. As you can see my little guy is with me. He’s getting so big, Almost 4 to be exact. As we get into the colder months ahead. And all of us Mom’s know these kids grow like weeds. Every fall/winter we have to buy them new clothes. When I’m getting ready to buy Breaker new clothes. I always buy him very simple pieces to start. Denim jeans, a color denim, some neutral cords. Tees always basic color. Occasionally I’ll buy him some Tees that have a design, Like the one he’s wearing here. But that’s very simple, I try to stay away from too much color. For his pop of color I buy him fun socks. Because it’s cheaper to buy a colored sock, so he can wear with anything. Rather than buying a colorful shirt that he can only wear with certain things. Another staple I like to have for him is a Denim jacket. One day I’ll take a pic of all his denim jackets from the first to recent. It’s just a must for me to have for him. They look so cute on and make any outfit look cool. One of my favorite things to put on him are joggers a cute Tee and his denim jacket. I know sometimes we think girl clothes can be more fun, And yes they have more options. But I have found ways to make dressing boys pretty fun. It’s ok to be bold with socks and show them off. If your Son likes to wear hats be bold with a cute hat! Shoes are always a fun way to dress up a boy’s outfit as well! And just remember you don’t always have to match so much. I love a funky combo. Something I always keep in mind when dressing my little guy is 3 colors. I like to have at least 3 colors on him. It really makes his outfits fun! Hope this helps out some mommies with boys!! Or even some of you ladies that want to give your big guy some styling tips,LOL! It works for all! Hope you lovelies have a great rest of the week and a fabulous weekend!

Back to school style

Back to school style

Hello Hermosas! Monday has me a little shook today! It came way too fast and I feel like I had so much to do this morning! Hence why my blog post is a little later than usual! But it’s up, YES! Today I just wanted to share some back to school ideas for our lovely teenagers. Sorry if this is just boy items, LOL! I’m a mom of boys. But girls are a little more open to shopping and picking their own cute stuff out. As for boys well at least my 13-year-old he’s not a big shopper. But these are David approved! I’ll list my favorite stores for our growing boys. My son is on the taller side, so we are in-between kids and adult sizes. I also love to keep his back to school items simple and versatile.

For Clothes we usually prefer H&M, not only do they have the newest styles it’s also pretty affordable. I usually go for a dark denim, light denim and black. You can’t go wrong with these colors. We also try to stick to solid Tees, so he can either throw on a cool jacket or cardigan once the weather gets cold. A jean jacket is such a good staple item to have as well.

IMG_1321

For shoes My son is a big VANS fan. I like them as well because they last pretty well. He usually goes for the fun print ones. It’s like his accessory. But also has more simple styles. These are his picks!

IMG_1319

Socks ok so if you’re a mom you know socks disappear, LOL! It’s like where do they go?! Our favorite place to get socks is Urban outfitters. They always have a 3 for $20 deal and the quality of the socks are really good. David prefers a more printed fun sock again it’s like his accessory.

IMG_1320

Back packs I’ve always bought his from Tilly’s they always have great deals on back packs for back to school!

This rounds up my Back to school shopping list for David. Now it’s time to get those school supplies! Our favorite is Target they have the best deals and not to mention a one stop shop! Good luck Mamas on the back to school madness! I hope this was helpful!

Pre-school back to school outfits

Pre-school back to school outfits

Hi Hermosas! Can’t believe it’s the weekend again. I’m not complaining! I also can’t believe our kiddos start school soon. My oldest starts mid-August. I’ll be doing a teen back to school post soon, So look out for that. I’m also feeling mixed emotions, because my little one is starting pre-school in August. I was very fortunate to stay home with him since birth, and he’s almost 4. So this little guy needs to start school. I’m excited for him to get out and learn to socialize in school. And for me I’m looking forward to having some time to myself. I’m sure every Mama can relate!

I thought a pre-school back to school post would be cool! I know us Mamas have to get back to school shopping done. I’m sharing a brand I love and is totally affordable. I also like that they are a more comfortable wear for the kids. Not to mention easy for those still learning to potty on their own(yes that’s mine), Lol!

I put together a few outfit choices. Breaker owns most of these items and they are so versatile. I don’t have a little girl, but I love to look at all the cute items they have for little ladies. I put together a few girl choices that I thought were cute. All these items can be purchased on Target.com or in-store. Breaker is wearing a 4T. Which still has room for our ever so fast growing little ones. Hope I was able to help with some back to school shopping! Ladies don’t forget I have a giveaway going on. In my Beauty post favorites under $20. Giveaway ends Monday. Hope you lovely ladies have a great weekend!

More wears Less tears

More wears Less tears

Hello Hermosas! This post is for my Mamas out there! First let me formally introduce my sweet little Angel, Breaker. He’s my 3 year old, actually almost 4 “sad tears!”. He’s a Ham in front of the camera. He’s our crazy, energetic, loving, happy little guy! A little story on his name, Breaker! With my pregnancy being a little older it wasn’t the easiest. Soon I’ll write on both my pregnancies since there is a 10 year gap. Back to his name, Daddy wanted something cool. In my belly he was crazy like he is in real life, jumping all over! I knew he needed a name that would fit his personality. Daddy loves break dancing, and no joke, I felt like at times he was break dancing in my belly!! So one day Daddy said” how about Breaker?”. I loved it, honestly we never even had another name, It was his name from the start. Breaker is the perfect fit!

96E49123-88A5-4788-BE7F-C59BA79B65DA.jpgI wanted to share with you all a DIY, I do for a lot of Breakers clothes! Us mamas know how fast they grow and how pricy clothes can’t get. Especially when you have more than one kid. I have a teen so his clothes can get pretty pricy! This is nothing so amazing, it’s pretty simple because I can’t sew, lol!  The picture above, I wish I took a before picture, but I forgot! I basically turned a long sleeve button up into a sleeveless button up. I cut the sleeves off really carefully with good scissors. Normally I like to pass down Breakers clothes to relatives. If they are in good condition or we donate. But occasionally, I have a hard time parting with items I love. This is a way to get more wears. So any-kind of shirt or pants that you know come winter they will not fit, But you love the style. Just cut them! I managed to take a before of the pants I cut to make him some stylish shorts.

img_0755.jpg

Hope you Mamas found this helpful! I’m sure it’s nothing new, But I wanted to give a few examples of how we can stretch out these kiddos clothes! Hope you all have a great weekend!
