Hello friends Happy February! The month of love! Who all still goes out for Valentine’s Day? I haven’t in years but I think me and the hubby are going to this year, so cool it is on a Friday.
Today’s post since it’s the month of love, I thought how fitting is it to dedicate my first post to my first born. He is the reason my heart grew bigger.
My David, he just had his 16th birthday. Imagine 16 years as a mom, I remember the day I went into labor with him. He was my little big guy, a whole 6lbs 11oz but long, I knew he was going to be big, he had the biggest hands and his feet were too big for his newborn pajama. I had to always cut the bottoms. He was my gentle giant. And now he’s 16 a young man that has this beautiful heart. He’s so caring and loving with everyone. I know he has a bright future. But this year he will hopefully get his license and maybe get a summer job, lol! No but really He has his written text very soon. It’s crazy!
I’m so proud of him. And I can’t wait to see him grow more as a person. He has brought so much joy to my heart for 16 years. So Happy sweet 16 my baby.
Moms out there that might be worried about having a second baby because you feel you can’t love anyone as much as you do your first, don’t be scared. Your heart is capable of amazing things. You love them just as much and your heart grows fonder every year they grow. The heart is an amazing thing and gets bigger with the more people we allow in.
Till next post!
Hello my friends!! Ok so I’ve kept my theme of January devoted to the new year and goals. This is my last post for January so I wanted to end it on a simple note.
Do not spend your year beating yourself up on trying to get through all the goals. I honestly don’t think goals have to take over your life. Life is way too short for you to stress over a goal you made for yourself. Enjoy life that’s important. A simple goal doesn’t mean less than a big goal. Who’s to say your simple goal isn’t a big deal to you. Don’t let anyone make you feel like your goals are not big enough.
Goals are great to have they keep you in line. But don’t feel discouraged because others are hitting their goals and you aren’t. You are on your own path, don’t worry what path others are on. You make your path on your own. So no rush and just remember to enjoy everyday. We are absolutely never promised the next.
So like I said before, no goal is too small, and don’t ever feel a goal is too big. You have the ability to make it happen. With that you have 336 days as of today to work on what you have to work on. Don’t follow someone else’s goals. Focus on you and what makes you happy.
My number one goal is family, spend more time with them, make more memories and just enjoy the time we have with them. And day 29 of that I’m on the right path. Let’s all cheer each other on. Till next post.
Hello my friends! Ok so I’m using January as a stepping stone into the new year! So why not share my steps with you! I don’t like to start off so crazy like giving myself all these rules and goals! Like for real it’s just torture to yourself! I like to start off with manageable goals! And once I start to see myself achieving these manageable goals, I add more! It’s less disappointing at the end.
So something I can already check off my list and let me tell you it’s the most important, is making our dr appointments and dental appointments. Health is the most important in my book! I made sure to schedule all appts so I know we are set and healthy! Some of us will put these off and let me tell you, if you have yearly goals that’s great! But nothing is more important than health. If you are not healthy, how are you going to accomplish anything? So make those appointments!
Dentist! Most of us hate them lol! Well not hate just scared of them. But oral care is just as important as physical. So get it over with and book those dental appointments! Believe me I have a huge phobia with the dentist but hell it feels good to get those choppers cleaned! So book your appointment!
Thats it! Getting those done for my family take a lot of stress off me in the beginning of the year! So we can proceed with our own individual goals and just be happy! Till next post!
Hello my friends! Happy new year! Hope you all had a great holiday with family and friends. But I’m going to say it, I’m glad they are over! I need some structure in my life! This always happens the month of December, it just throws me off! So I’m ready for a routine and some creative work!
Today I just wanted to share some cute jackets that will make a simple outfit look cute! And of course they are all from Zara and all on sale, so hurry up and jump on it! I love when Zara has a sale! I normally buy a cute jacket or some shoes. Even if the season is almost over. I’ll be set for the next winter/summer etc. I try to get the more basic ones that won’t go out of style!
So I rounded up my faves that honestly should be staples in your closet. I wish I can buy them all. But I settled for the green faux fur one with a hood! I just loved it and I’ll wear this all winter, Spring and even 2020 fall! So I will definitely get my money’s worth! Hope you all found some help with this post, and if you haven’t checked out the Zara sale! You need to Stat!
Till next post!
Like crazy! I can’t believe we are in 2020! This is where you start to see all the new year new me,blah blah blah. I’d like to see it as a fresh year to be a better you. A clean 365 days to live life like you ,but try to add some more positive to your life. Try to push yourself to step out of the box a little. But don’t beat yourself up if you’re not ready for certain changes right away. Like I said you have 365 days!
For me I plan to give myself a few goals. I’m so over the lose weight crap! I’ve learned to just be healthy ,stay healthy, but live life and don’t deprive! I’ve found a way to stay active and I do want to eat healthier. That’s a goal but not just for weight loss, more for health reasons. I plan on staying healthy inside and out! Enough of that!
My real goals are to be more in the moment, I started that last year and I plan on getting better. Make small changes around my house, I’ve really liked the minimalist life. I’m all about living with what I need, not just to have. I’m teaching the boys this too! I think starting these habits early is great! Trying to spend more quality time with family. Life is so short I don’t want to regret not spending the time when I have it! Of course continuing my blog is a must. But I don’t care about numbers anymore. That was killing me! Giving me anxiety. I choose to be me and create from my heart! I don’t care about my numbers. If I can influence one person in a positive way that’s my reward. So overall my 2020 is just being a better me! Taking time for myself and enjoying everyday! So to a new year! Cheers to you all!
Hello friends! How are you all doing?! I’m over here just trying to wrap around how fast this year has gone. It’s crazy! We are trying to fit in a few more Christmas activities. We are all Disneyland out! Will resume after the holidays. On top of that I need to get my Christmas shopping done! Who else does?! Well your in luck I have a gift guide to make it easier for those not so easy family members!
Of course I’ll start with my girls! I mean I can relate. So the older I get the less I want. I also like things I need or can put more use to it. One of the items I love getting because I hardly buy it for myself are pajamas. But cute ones! And a light weight robe! These from mason grey LA are so cute and on trend. A Roomba is something every busy mom needs! You know I couldn’t be without my nespresso machine and every coffee enthusiast needs one! A cute teddy coat is a must! And some cute comfy sneakers for the mom on the go! Fuzzy socks are always needed and a silk pillow case is a dream! A perfect gloss will make a great stocking stuffer and a faux fur jacket will spice up any outfit. Happy shopping!
For the men or young adults in our lives! Easy to just be simple! Every guy needs a coat, for dressy looks, casual looks and just the everyday dude! And the hubby was excited for some slippers so these are great. I think a great cologne is a good one too! I know some are tech guys so of course any new tech toy out will go over pretty well!
The kiddos! Ok so I love a toy that will be played with more than once! And I like educational toys. I know so many are against iPads but let’s get real it’s the sign of the times! Even schools use them for learning. I think moderation is key! I still need to work on that with breaker! But I love that he’s learned so much! And I love the Osmo selections! Here are a few I think are great.
Well I said I’d keep it short and simple! So there it is! Happy shopping. Till next post.
Hello friends! Happy December, so who already put the tree up! Me me, we did! The last few years I felt I did it kinda late and I wanted to enjoy it the entire month! It smells so lovely in my house! And the weather is cozy for the tree.
I’ve been wanting to do this post for a while! I love Pinterest, I’ve been on Pinterest longer than I’ve been on Instagram. I get majority of my INSPO from Pinterest. If you haven’t logged on you need to! It’s really fun.
Besides decor, fashion and DIY I’m really big on finding recipes. It’s my go to for most! I even followed a turkey recipe for my very first turkey this year! It was actually easy and good. I wanted to share some of my favorites with all of you! Especially right now that we are going to parties, potlucks and having holiday get togethers. I have a little bit of everything and all I’ve made more than once! I’ll link them Here!I’m telling you these are a hit in my house! Especially the blueberry banana bread! Perfect for Christmas morning! Hope you enjoy my favorites as much as I do! Share on Instagram with me if you ever make one! @stylesencillo on Instagram!
Till next post!
Hello my friends! I’ve missed you. Sorry no blog post last week, but that crazy bug that was going around was insane. I’m so glad we survived it and my oldest and the hubby never got it. My poor mom ended up getting it because she came to help me with the kids when I got it. So yes to keep on theme with my blog, I’m thankful we are over it and thankful for my hubby and mom to help out when I was down.
but for my last post of my being thankful month, although I’m thankful everyday I wanted to just share this month.
My boys are what I’m most thankful for. My David was my first piece of my heart and he has taught me so much more than what I probably have taught him. He is so special and such a good son. So for him I’m thankful.
My second is the hubby. I met him at a time that I was accepting who I was and learning how to love myself. I think him and I knew we were meant to be. It wasn’t easy in the beginning ,but we have learned who we are together. And that is important. He’s my best friend and I love us! So for him I’m thankful.
Last but definitely not least is Breaker my baby. When I found out I was pregnant with him I couldn’t believe it. I wasn’t feeling the best and I didn’t want to get attached to the idea of being pregnant I thought I was losing the baby. My breaker and I went through a lot. He’s my strong boy, I do have a post on my pregnancy story with him. I think with all I went through him and I are bonded in a way that I love so much. If he’s scared, hurt or sad he needs mommy. He’s also the one that’s gonna give me a full head of greys,Lol! So for him I’m thankful.
My boys are my heart, they are pieces of my puzzle called life. I’m so thankful God gave me these boys. A very Happy thanksgiving to everyone that has been on this blog life with me. For you I’m thankful. Till next post!
Hello my beautiful friends! I hope you all enjoyed my theme for October! Halloween overload, lol! So for November I wanted to dedicate to people and things I’m thankful for. I couldn’t think of a better way to start but with my Mom. She’s the person I’m most thankful for. Without my mom I wouldn’t be here. But that’s not the only reason why!
My mom is one of the nicest people you can meet. She still waves at strangers and she can make a conversation with anyone. Growing up she always put my sisters and I first. She never made time for herself and now that I’m older I wish she did. She was a single mom and made sure we had what we needed. My sisters and I have so many great memories. We never felt like we were missing anything. Her creativity still leaves me speechless.
My mom will help anyone that needs the help. Even if it’s giving someone her last $20 bill. My Mom gave me my sisters who I cherish and so happy I have them.
Because of my mom and sisters we now have a beautiful family to make more memories with. And for that I’m forever thankful for.
Till next post!
Hello my friends! So this is going to be short and sweet! I’ve kept my Halloween theme for the entire month of October. I seriously can’t believe October is over! We’ve had a blast this month. My kids love Halloween, so I really tried to make it feel like Halloween all month. Disneyland was a big highlight, going to Boo at the zoo was super fun. Highly recommend both for next year!
I figured a day before Halloween blog post would be tough, I mean seems like most parties were last weekend. So I thought to give you some dinner ideas if you are having people over to trick or treat!
I mean ordering pizza is always an easy way to go but if you have more time, check out my pizza recipe! It’s always a hit! Spaghetti is always a hit with a crowd and Easy! I’ll be making meatball sandwiches this year, it’s only a few of us so it will be easy and fun! Some chili beans with hot dogs is always fun too!
Even though the kids will be getting tons of candy dessert is always fun! Check out my ice cream sandwiches! I’ll be surprising Breaker and David with a chocolate cake! Like I said they take Halloween serious so why not celebrate with a cake!
Wishing everyone a fun and safe Halloween! Till next post!
