Hello my loves! Spring is in the air and I’m loving it. Did you all check out my spring favorites post?! We are enjoying the nice weather so much. We’ve started up our daily evening walks again. When the time changes and the weather is perfect we get in an evening walk when the Hubs gets home. We love it, We walk around our area try to get 2 miles in. And this weekend Breaker learned how to ride his big boy bike(training wheels). So he rode his bike on our walk for the first time this week and did so good. It’s a nice way to get some family time in away from phones and exercise.
So Mom life update. I’m starting to figure out some things to do once the kids are off for summer. I’ll be putting up a blog post on some of the ideas I get. trying to stay local, inexpensive and good for both my 14-year-old and 4-year-old. I really want to get more outdoors with them before it gets too hot. So stay tuned for what I come up with!
Today’s blog post is all about spring style. And I have my side kick to show how to jazz up a boys spring outfit. I absolutely love blazers. They looks so good with denim. It’s really a favorite look of mine. I did a blazer look a few post back with jeans. Now that we are in spring, I think this look is so appropriate for the season.
My look I pretty much had everything I’m wearing since last year other than the blazer. I purchased the blazer right before Easter from Target. I also spotted the same blazer in pink. I think I’ll be snagging that too. My shorts I purchased about 2 years ago from Urban outfitters. I love them. It’s so hard to find the perfect pair of Jean shorts. My shoes are from Aldo I love them and they are on sale now. I added some orange earrings to jazz it up. Some tips I have, with just adding a new pair of earrings or a blazer to some items you already have in your closet can really make a new cute look. Shop within your closet I bet you can make a cute look!
For Breakers look I wanted to spice up his shorts and plain white tee. He was in a wedding a couple of weeks ago and This was his blazer to his suit. I’m trying to get more wears before it doesn’t fit. It was a linen suit so perfect for spring. I love adding jean jackets or cute cardigans to his outfits. They just make a plain outfit look so much cuter. With boys outfits can get pretty plain. So I always find ways to make my boys outfits pop!
Hope you like my Mommy and Mini spring style and got some helpful tips. You ladies have a great week! Till next post.
Hello Ladies! How are you all doing?! Thank you for the love on my last post. I loved writing it so much. I had a wonderful birthday. A few very special girls in my life got together and had a nice, fun and casual brunch. It was perfect. And ended the night with a small Baskin robins cake eating it right out of the box with my dudes, Perfection! My mom’s birthday is this Saturday. I feel so bad I won’t be able to celebrate with her physically because she’s in Sacramento. I can’t wait for her to come in May! I miss her so much. Never too late to celebrate another year of life!
Today I wanted to share a look I wore last year in May for a wedding. I hadn’t been to a wedding in a while and the last wedding I went to before that was my sisters. Which I was in the wedding and pregnant. So for this wedding I wanted to enjoy without worrying about an uncomfortable dress or Spanx, LOL! I looked and looked everywhere. I finally found this dress from Zara. Like I said this was last year so this dress is not available anymore. But I wanted to share how a simple dress can look nice for a wedding.
A little helpful hint when looking for dresses especially if you are a mom or just don’t have much time to be at the mall searching. Most of us look online. And one thing I have noticed when looking online and this is no where shade towards the models or anyone. But most of the dresses look frumpy because the models are tall and thin. So when I saw this dress online, I liked the style but looked so frumpy on the model. I took a chance and put it on hold and went to try it on and loved it. This dress was so comfortable and I loved the ruffle detail and V cut back. So simple yet so chic. I paired it with my favorite tan sandals and some rose gold accessories.
I received so many compliments on this dress that day. Not to mention danced the night away and felt so comfortable. So most important thing when looking for a spring/summer wedding guest dress is try to go with light weight. The weather depending on where the wedding is will be so much more comfortable. Color is also a factor you don’t want to go too dark for a spring/summer wedding. Shoes I think a pretty sandal with heel is perfect. And if your dress is more on the simpler style like mine, I would try to jazz it up with a pretty clutch like I did or some statement earrings. I went with the clutch since my dress had the beautiful ruffles I didn’t want statement earrings to draw attention away from them.
So that’s it ladies just a little help if you are invited to a wedding and can’t find anything to wear. Also I’ll link some dresses I thought were appropriate for a Spring/Summer wedding below. Hope this post was helpful! Happy shopping! Till next post!
Hello my Lovely ladies! First week of spring done and I’m loving it. The rain was so nice last week here in LA. My boys are off for spring break. No vacay plans for us. But having them home is nice and we get to sleep in a little. Both my boys are pretty easy they are not the kind that want to be out and about all the time. They are total homebody kids.
I’ve been in a little creative block. I have most of my post planned for the next couple months but I’m stuck for June, LOL! I guess my brain doesn’t want to work that far ahead. I would love to know what you ladies want to see on the blog. I’ve been wanting to do more recipes but most of my recipes I get on Pinterest. So I’m thinking of doing a post on all the recipes I’ve made from Pinterest. Comment or message me on Instagram of what you would like to see for my summer post!
Today I’m sharing my first spring style of the season. It’s a perfect transition from winter to spring. I used to be always cold. But after kids I don’t get that cold anymore. Just putting Breaker in the car seat I sweat, LOL! So I love light weight clothes and simple. Like I’ve said before the more simple the better for me. I don’t like feeling confined or the feeling of my insides being crushed from tight clothes. It’s just not for me.
So this look I went with a jean skirt I bought last summer from Forever 21. I’ve seen so many this year that I will snag for summer. I love jean skirts. Something so simple yet feminine with a little edge. My Top I picked up at Target from who what wear brand. If you’ve been reading my blog from the beginning you know I love this brand. They never disappoint with the trends and the quality. So cute and so affordable. Just love it. I also loved the ruffle detail on the sleeves that just screams spring! I added my floral booties that are so comfortable. I talked about spring shoes in my last post, Go check it out! I’ve been living in this bag as well. I normally carry my large never full LV bag. But I’ve had really bad shoulder pain , so I have been living for my light weight Kate spade bag. Kate spade is a favorite of mine. Always nice timeless bags.
Hope you ladies liked this outfit post! Hope you all enjoy this beautiful spring break week. Next week I’ll be posting my blog post on Friday in honor of my birthday. I have a very personal post coming. I hope you all will like it. Till next post!
Hello Ladies! Hope you all are doing well! Spring is finally here and I can’t be any happier. Something about spring colors and weather makes me so happy. I think the only thing I don’t like about spring is the allergies I get. But nothing a little allergy medicine can’t fix, LOL!
My boys are off of school next week for spring break. We having nothing planned yet but hopefully we can get a few fun things in. Sometimes it’s hard when you have kids so far apart because a place that will be fun for Breaker(my 4-year-old) is not fun for David(my 14-year-old). So I try to find in between places. But that’s not always easy. The good thing is my oldest is really patient and good with his brother. That helps a lot.
Today’s Blog post is on shoe styles that will help you transition into spring from Winter. Spring is still not that Hot for summer style shoes. But warm enough for some cute open toe or peep toes! I love shoes. I think if I wasn’t on a budget I would have a mountain of shoes. A shoe will always fit no matter what. And they can just liven up any outfit. I’m a very simple dresser, So shoes have always been my accessory that pops! Besides my earrings.
First shoe style I felt will be a cool transition for spring are these booties with a peep toe. They will look so cute with jeans, dresses or some cute cut offs. And will work for a night out because they will keep your feet warm for the chillier spring nights and will also show off your cute pedi!
Second style are these floral booties. I’m kind of obsessing over floral right now. I think floral booties or a cute floral pump will be perfect for a spring outfit. The booties will look cute with a jean skirt, dress or some jeans. And the shoes will be your show stopper for your outfit.
Third shoe style will most likely be my go to. You can’t go wrong with a sneaker. I’m loving the Nike Cortez right now. These are navy with a pop of pink. I will also be purchasing a white classic van and a checkered slip on van. I think if you are a busy mom running around but want to look cool and stay on trend you can’t go wrong with these. I will be pairing my sneakers with a cute tank dress, some crop skinny jeans or some spring style dresses. I think they will look so cute with a more feminine look.
I will be posting outfits with these shoes very soon so stay tuned! and I will link some shoes below that will rock your spring style! Hope you ladies liked this post. Have a great week and Weekend! Till next post.
