Hello my lovely friends! So I’m 2 Days into summer Break with my boys and I’m already being told by Breaker that I’m making him starve, LOL! I’m like really kid. I know the first week is getting a routine. I feel like he ask for food out of boredom, So I’m making a schedule and hopefully LA cools down a little so we can get out and do some outside play.
Today I wanted to share something I’ve talked about before I went on my trip last year and I did exactly what I didn’t want to do. I over packed! This year I’m not going away away on a big trip but we are heading to Vegas for 4 days in august with the fam, so I definitely don’t want to overpack.
I went to Dominican republic last year and I didn’t wear half the stuff I packed. So I wanted to share more functional clothes you can pack and possibly wear it a different way so basically versatile outfits. I plan on doing this when we go to Vegas, The only thing with Vegas I feel like we change twice a day, LOL! but I’m going to try to keep it to a minimal.
Something that I love is a basic swimsuit like this one. You can put some jean shorts over it during the day before the pool or beach time and you will look put together for breakfast or walking around. Ok so I was little in the 80’s and I remember my sisters and I had those jelly shoes. I can’t believe they have them again, I thought these were super cute. I love me some anklets I used to wear them all the time, Glad they are being seeing more and more again. A cute summer bag is always a must when vacationing.
For outfits I love a simple basic comfy pair of shorts. These you can dress up or down with a tank, or a crop top. You can style them in so many different ways take them from day to night. I would add a headband with some cute earrings and the shoe will make it day or night. These shoes I think will be the perfect trio for a vacay, The flat slides could even be your travel shoe and a not so casual shoe with a little platform is fun. I think everyone needs a clear heel like this, These will go with every outfit and make that day outfit to night real fast.
I hope this was helpful if you plan on vacationing this summer, Even if it’s a weekend we over pack! Don’t forget your sunscreen and hat! Till next post.
Hello Everyone! Spring break is in full effect over here at my house. Boys are off for the week and I’m trying not to yell! No but really my boys are good but it does get hard since they are 10 years apart, The little one thinks everything the teenager does needs punishment, LOL! So all I hear is mom punish Dave or Mom I’m hungry, Like seriously!
With summer around the corner, I’m already looking for new swimwear. I’m pretty basic when it comes to picking out swimwear. And with being a mom and having the kids with me, that’s also something I keep in mind when shopping for swimwear. I remember when David my oldest was 2 We were in Jamaica and I went down the slide with him in a more low-cut bathing suit and lets just say they flew out, LOL! So I’ve learned to keep it comfortable, cute and kid friendly. I’ll keep the low cut for trips with no kids. So I’ve rounded a few that I like, and that can be styled with some cute accessories to look trendy and chic at the pool! Loving neon so I had to throw that one in, A pink is always cute, You have to have a black one I mean it’s a must. The leopard is so good, and I actually ordered it, it’s on the way! You can throw on some jean shorts. I like to place a tee over and tie it, if you’re walking around the pool area. A cute sheer duster is always a must. Don’t forget some sandals. I like havaianas for the pool!
Accessories to give your swimsuit that extra cuteness. I love a good sunhat, Find one that’s neutral so you can wear it all summer with everything. A good bag that you can toss everything inside for pool and beach days, Moms you know how much we pack for kids. I think everyone needs a cute basket bag, So fun and chic. I always like to buy a more inexpensive pair of sunglasses for the pool and beach with kids. Just to be safe you won’t ruin your more expensive ones. I love me a cute layered necklace with a swimsuit and you can’t forget the scarves. I love a cute head scarf, You can wear it so many different ways and also tie it on your shorts or basket bag for color. check out my video on instagram @stylesencillo for a short video on how I style a basic black swimsuit.
Well ladies happy swimsuit shopping, Hope you liked this post, Till next post.
Hello Ladies! Hope you all are great! I’m doing good. Enjoying summer and sleeping in a bit. I usually get up after the hubby leaves to work, But I’m not depriving my body if I feel like sleeping in. Once school starts it’s busy busy. The kids and I have been enjoying some chill days. Breaker is getting so big I feel both boys are growing like weeds right now. I’m truly enjoying them. Just when it’s errand day we bump heads, LOL! I’m super fast and like to get things done. My boys are like taking their time in slow motion! One more month of them being home, So we are trying to fit in some fun days.
So since we are off to Palm springs next week! I’m sharing what I always pack when I know we will be in the pool. I’ll be sharing where we stayed and some pics next week once we are back. So stay tuned.
When we are taking a road trip I always pack my first aid kit. Believe me it’s always used for one of us. One of us always gets a cut, tummy ache etc. When I know we will be hanging by the pool most of the trip, These are the most important that I pack. Especially with little ones. I purchased this cute first Aid bag from Target Oh joy.
So what’s in my bag? Always band aids, regular and water proof. Breaker hates bandaids so I always get a character I know he won’t mind having on his body. Neosporin spray and ointment is a must. I always have children’s Tylenol. Vapor rub is also important. More so when we take road trips to Vegas. With all the smoke in the hotels Breaker always gets congested. For mommy and Daddy I always pack Alka seltzer and Advil. These few items just make me feel better when road tripping.
Some other things I pack are wet wipes for hands, Towels and don’t forget the sunscreen. With Breaker being little still and his skin is more sensitive. I always pack him his own towel for the pool. For the simple fact that the hotel towels are rough and I don’t know what kind of soap they use. Another thing I always make sure to take when road tripping is lots of water. Buying water at hotels is just crazy expensive. I love road trips they are fun and I like the time we all spend together. I look forward to them. Something so cozy about us all in the car looking forward to fun family time.
Hope this was helpful! Till next post.
