Valentine’s Day Target finds

Hello Ladies! How are you all doing? I can’t believe we are done with January. Time is flying! February is always a fun month! We have super bowl, My older sons Birthday and who doesn’t love Valentine’s day! My older son is turning 15 on Saturday, I can’t believe it. He’s getting so big. He’s chill so he wants a chill hang out with his buddies. But if you know me I can’t not do some what of a theme, Lol! Nothing crazy because he will not be happy, but just enough. I’ll share next week what we did! Maybe give others ideas for a teenage boys birthday. So stay tuned!

Ok so for today I wanted to share some cute items I found over at target and the 99 cent store. I had so much fun looking at all the valentine’s day decor. If you need some treats for kids classes or if you’re having a kids Valentine’s day party head over to 99 cent store. They had tons of cute stuff for kids. from treat boxes, head bands and hanging hearts. Besides Valentine cards, I’ll be making cupcakes for Breakers class. I found a cute treat box and cupcake toppers for only $.99 you can’t beat that.

The hubby and I don’t do Valentines day gifts. It’s just something we don’t do. I’ll give the boys a small treat and I prefer goodies, like cookies or donuts. So we always do something like that. I’ll make a fun dinner and set up the table fun for all of us. I figured until the boys are off doing their own thing, It’s a family affair, lol! So if you’re in the same boat as I am, I have a fun pizza recipe here! I usually make this with heart-shaped pepperoni or if I’m up to it I’ll try to form the dough in a heart! Fun and the boys like it. But as long as the Hubs walks in with donuts!

I do love to give Breaker’s teachers a fun gift. I mean they are handling our little ones all day. They are the real MVP’s, so I love to give them a treat. This is what I put together for them this year. He has 2 teachers so I did these cute baskets for them. I also shared another idea for a co-worker or just a special gal pal in your life. Most of these items are from Target. Check out the dollar section they have the heart chocolates and the heart-shaped plates. I love how target has these mini prosecco bottles. For the teachers gifts I found everything at Target in the Valentine section. I bought the baskets and oven holders at the 99 cent store. They came 2 in a package for both items. I thought this was fun so they can share with their families.

So ladies run before this stuff sells out! Hope this helped with some Valentine Ideas! Till next post!

Leopard for fall

Leopard for fall

Hello Ladies! Happy first week of Fall. Seriously Fall and spring have always been my favorite seasons. I love the Fall fashion so much. I love layering and I love coats. I mean I can go on and on about what I love about fall. Over the weekend I tried Starbucks new coffee maple pecan with foam , it was a little on the sweet side but the taste and feel was Fall all the way.  Something so cozy about fall. But I live in LA so we don’t always get so much fall weather. Believe me when it hits 65 degrees I’m like bring out the coat, LOL!

So with that said, I’m calling all my LA girls out to give you some Fall inspo so we don’t feel left out with the trends! I’m sure by now everyone has seen that leopard print is poppin! I’ve always loved leopard print. It comes and goes but always sticks around. If that makes sense. So if you have any from a few years ago, Bring it on!

IMG_1954IMG_1955IMG_2155IMG_2152

I wanted to share this look I put together that’s cute for LA fall. I had been seeing this skirt all over IG from Target. I had to have it. You can style this so many ways. Like the way I did, Also dress it up more with a black pump and a silky camisole. I would also wear it with a vintage tee tied in a knot with some sneakers or mules. I love this skirt. I also added my motorcycle jacket to give it a more edgy look and if it’s a colder in LA. Also my top is a bodysuit old from cotton on, Jacket from Zara similar one here. And shoes from Aldo.

IMG_E2162IMG_E2163IMG_E2164IMG_E2165

I picked out some other leopard items that would be perfect for this trend and In LA. These pants are so cute I would pair these with a top like I have on with my skirt, a tee or simple tank. This Cami is the perfect way to give that leopard trend a try. Perfect for LA Fall. I would wear this Cami with some jeans, Blue or black will look cute. You can add a red shoe or just simple black. If you don’t like to spend so much on print pieces I would add some accessories. This belt is so cute! You can add it to a simple dress, Over a coat and with some jeans. You can add your pop of leopard with just adding this belt. Another  inexpensive way to add the leopard trend to your fall outfits is this scarf. You can wear it in your hair, tie it around your neck or even tie it around your purse strap. A perfect way if you are on a budget but want that leopard trend. All these items are from Zara! Very reasonable prices.

Ok ladies hope you liked my first fall style for 2018. I can’t wait to share some more. I’m trying to give options for everyone and Like I try to do, On a budget! Till next Post!

Spring Favorites

Spring Favorites

Hello Beauties! How is this lovely spring weather treating you?! I love it, I just can’t handle the allergies I get from this gorgeous spring weather. Besides that It’s been perfect. I’ve been focusing on my house lately. Trying to change-up a few things. We’ve painted the bathroom, next will paint the kitchen. Just little changes and some new decor. It’s one of the things on my vision board to give my house a mini makeover. We still need some improvements but little by little will get it to a happy place. I’m still trying to figure out what to do with the mountain of toys Breaker has, LOL! I think mini changes around the house just make you feel good. As simple as a new carpet or some new couch pillows. Doesn’t always have to be costly.

For today I wanted to list a few of my Spring favorites. Which I’ll also take with me to the summer season that’s fast approaching. Because I’m all about multiple use and getting your money’s worth.

My first stop would be my favorite shoes! Every spring/summer I try to find a good pair of nude sandals. I’ll use them all season long until it gets too cold to have my toes out. These sandals are from Zara. I absolutely love them. So cute for dresses, skirt and shorts. These will be on repeat all season. Another pair are these cute pearl slides from Target. They are so cute. I’m still on the hunt for my size I’ve tried them on and they are so cute and comfy but I can’t find my perfect size. I’ll be ordering these online right away.  Besides a flip-flop for those pool and beach days. You need to have a nude and black sandal. These will be perfect for the hot days to come.

Next stop would be Makeup duh! My motto is less is more. Especially when the weather is warm. We don’t want to be melting out there. I’ve been using this foundation since December from Laura Mercier. I really like it, But when I was using it during the winter I noticed it was more matte than I normally use. It’s a silk foundation. So now that the temperature is warmer I love it. I know this is going to be my go to for the hot days.It  Feels so good on the skin. Only advice is if you are more dry skin use a hydrating primer under. It looks great. Another makeup must have for spring/summer is a liquid highlighter these two are great and just give you that dewy glow we all want for those warm days. Bronzer is a must especially if you have that beautiful golden tan we all long for after the winter. Because we are all making sure we protect our faces with a sun hat or umbrella, Bronzer will help your face blend in with that golden tan. I picked up this cute umbrella in china town for $5 I will be using this when I’m outside. Ladies protect your face from sun. So important!

After makeup we have perfume! We all want to smell good especially when the weather heats up. No one wants to smell sweaty, LOL! I’m not much of a perfume person. Only because I’m really sensitive to smells. I get bad headaches from strong scents. This perfume I’ve had for a while now and I love it. The smell is a softer smell. I would say more on the citrus side. I’m really bad with describing perfumes since I don’t wear much. But this one is very nice and perfect fragrance for spring/summer.

Next is your spring/summer bag. Before kids I would change my purses weekly. But now I’m like too much work. This year I’m trying to be cute again with my bags. The first one is this cute circle straw bag. I’ve been eyeing a bag like this since last summer. My lovely mom ordered this one for me for my Birthday. Only thing is it’s not available until May so I will be waiting at my door for this baby! Another look that is trending right now. The belt bags. These are so cute and I will be getting one. They look cool and not to mention hands free and no stress on your shoulders. WINNING! With these 2 looks you will be set for those spring/summer days.

Earrings!!! You all know I’m a sucker for a cute pair. These earrings will make you look spring/summer ready! These will look cute with any outfit and swimsuit. Go get some!

Lastly, For years I’ve been wanting to spruce up my porch. We spend more time out in front because it’s where Breaker plays. Finally I found chairs I like! I’ve been hunting down Acapulco chairs forever now. They are so expensive. I was jumping up and down when I saw these online at Target. They really did great with this new home line. They are from the new line Opal House. We got the chairs and rug from Target. I’m loving my little porch area. I just need to find a side table and add my little succulents to make it perfect. I will be having my coffee and watching Breaker play all spring/summer long on these chairs.

Hope you all liked this post for my spring favorites! Have a great rest of the week and weekend! Till next post!

Valentine’s Day look

Valentine’s Day look

Hi ladies! How’s February treating you? This weather is not so Winter in LA. I’m looking forward to spring. I’m really into floral looks. I can’t wait to buy some more for spring.  My son turned 14 on February 2nd. I can’t believe it. He’s becoming a young man. Such a good boy, Love you Dave.

So who goes all out for Valentine’s day? I myself love it. I look forward to buying little valentine cards for my kids class. This year it’s Breaker’s Turn. His first Valentine school celebration. He’s having a pizza party! Of course I’m making my easy pizza for the class! Check out the recipe if you haven’t already.

Today I’m sharing a very simple romantic look that would be perfect for a valentine date.    I know red is a popular color for valentine’s day. But for some reason when I think of the day, I see pink! I went with a pop of pink. But you can totally wear this with a pop of red!

I ordered this dress online from Zara when the big sale was going on. I scored this dress for less than $25. The shoes I also got on sale for under $50 online from Nordstrom. They are Top Shop brand. My earrings were a gift from my sis. She got them at Target my favorite brand Baublebar by sugar fix. They have so many cute styles that will make any spring/summer outfit perfect! You can use any black clutch or if you have a cute pink or red purse, you can always wear black shoes and use a bag for a pop of color. Hope you ladies like the look! I’ll link everything below.

A little blog update! If you are new to my blog, I update every month. I’m going to do this until I hit my one year. It’s for myself to document the feelings I had throughout my first year of blogging. It’s not easy at times. I’m a full-time stay at home mom. I was a working mom with my first son and I can honestly say it was easier to go to work. And this is from my experience. Not speaking for anyone. I think every mom rocks! And no mom has it easier. Blogging has helped me feel alive as a women. Getting more into it, I’m truly enjoying blogging. I have my days still that I doubt myself. The hubby says I’m too hard on myself. I still need to learn to not compare myself to others and just be true to who I am. It’s a work in progress. I live for when people say they like my blog. Even if it’s just one person. It makes me so happy! I love to share with you all! So thank you for reading. Don’t forget to follow along on Instagram. I’m going to start posting more outfit looks! I want to start including more daily easy looks. I mean let’s get real I don’t look put together almost 80% of the time, LOL! Till next post! Have a great rest of the week and lovely weekend.

Holiday Look

Holiday Look

Hello Ladies! I can’t believe Christmas is pretty much here. I seriously think this year went way too fast. So are you all like me? I still need a few last-minute gifts. I always do this to myself. I’m looking forward to my mom and sister coming Friday! My mom lives in Sacramento so I don’t see her as much as I’d like. So I’m super happy she will be with me for the weekend. I know one of the worries we have besides shopping, Cooking, baking and getting your house ready for guest. Is what to wear??? Am I right, LOL! Especially if you have kids making sure they have a nice outfit to wear. Sometimes us Mom’s leave our outfit planning to the last minute.

My family usually goes on the more casual side but still nice. I know some families go to midnight mass also. I put together three styles that would be appropriate for your holiday get together at your house, families or friends. I think also nice enough for midnight mass. I’m more of a jeans girl. I hardly wear dresses unless I have to or it’s really hot. So all these outfit styles are jeans.

My outfit that I have on is so simple and I’m sure all of us have something similar in our closets. I just gave my outfit a pop of red with my shoes and earrings. Both of these I bought specifically for the holidays. These jeans I’m sure you’ve seen them in other post I’ve done. I just love them. My tank is from Target, I think I own quite a few of these now. They are from that new brand A New Day, so soft and comfy. My coat believe it or not, I’ve had for 10 plus years. My sister bought this for me many moons ago for Christmas. It’s so good and still looks so stylish. Shoes also from Target. Earrings are from Charming Charlie. But these tassel earrings are so popular right now I’ve seen similar ones at Forever 21.

fullsizeoutput_2173

The next outfit I put together just to show you a different option similar to what I have on. Like I said these are pretty staple items that most of us have in our wardrobe. A pop of red in a purse, shoe or earring will make you look festive.

fullsizeoutput_2175

Last option I thought this rose gold pop was so cute. Rose gold is so pretty and classy looking. I think still looks very festive. The cream sweater is something you can get at Zara, Target or Forever 21. I would say go with something you know you will be comfortable in for a long night of holiday fun! Hope this Post helped you ladies and you won’t leave your outfit choice to the last-minute.

I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Sending hugs to you all. Till next post.

IMG_1902IMG_1903IMG_1905IMG_1898IMG_1907

Back to school style

Back to school style

Hello Hermosas! Monday has me a little shook today! It came way too fast and I feel like I had so much to do this morning! Hence why my blog post is a little later than usual! But it’s up, YES! Today I just wanted to share some back to school ideas for our lovely teenagers. Sorry if this is just boy items, LOL! I’m a mom of boys. But girls are a little more open to shopping and picking their own cute stuff out. As for boys well at least my 13-year-old he’s not a big shopper. But these are David approved! I’ll list my favorite stores for our growing boys. My son is on the taller side, so we are in-between kids and adult sizes. I also love to keep his back to school items simple and versatile.

IMG_1310

For Clothes we usually prefer H&M, not only do they have the newest styles it’s also pretty affordable. I usually go for a dark denim, light denim and black. You can’t go wrong with these colors. We also try to stick to solid Tees, so he can either throw on a cool jacket or cardigan once the weather gets cold. A jean jacket is such a good staple item to have as well.

IMG_1321

For shoes My son is a big VANS fan. I like them as well because they last pretty well. He usually goes for the fun print ones. It’s like his accessory. But also has more simple styles. These are his picks!

IMG_1319

Socks ok so if you’re a mom you know socks disappear, LOL! It’s like where do they go?! Our favorite place to get socks is Urban outfitters. They always have a 3 for $20 deal and the quality of the socks are really good. David prefers a more printed fun sock again it’s like his accessory.

IMG_1320

Back packs I’ve always bought his from Tilly’s they always have great deals on back packs for back to school!

This rounds up my Back to school shopping list for David. Now it’s time to get those school supplies! Our favorite is Target they have the best deals and not to mention a one stop shop! Good luck Mamas on the back to school madness! I hope this was helpful!
