Valentine’s pop of pink

Valentine’s pop of pink

Happy Wednesday my friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful week. I’m doing well, we had a nice family getaway to Big Bear this past weekend. Really no snow, but we got lucky on the day we left. It snowed very lightly so Breaker got to see that for the first time. He thought the snow at Disneyland was real so him seeing real snow made my heart smile.

Talking about hearts! Who is ready for Valentine’s Day?! Do you make a big day of it, do you keep it casual, fancy or is it a stay in cozy kinda night? We wanted to go out since it’s on a Friday, but we are kinda pooped from big bear and getting back to weekday life. So we are leaving plans in the air. I’m cool with ordering in with a drink or two. But getting dressed up is so fun!

Talking dressing up, if you have plans set in stone! Do you have your outfit picked? Well if not I’ve put together some INSPO for you! I love a pop of pink for Valentine’s Day! Most go with red, which is beautiful. But pink is so girly!  You can even mix both and that looks so chic! If I was going out I’d wear some leather faux pants, a bodysuit and with a pop of pink on my feet! Edgy with a little girly twist! But check out what I found and hopefully you can get some INSPO for your sweetheart night! Hope you all have a beautiful Valentine’s Day! Till next post!

My sweet boy is 16

My sweet boy is 16

Hello friends Happy February! The month of love! Who all still goes out for Valentine’s Day? I haven’t in years but I think me and the hubby are going to this year, so cool it is on a Friday.

Today’s post since it’s the month of love, I thought how fitting is it to dedicate my first post to my first born. He is the reason my heart grew bigger.

My David, he just had his 16th birthday. Imagine 16 years as a mom, I remember the day I went into labor with him. He was my little big guy, a whole 6lbs 11oz but long, I knew he was going to be big, he had the biggest hands and his feet were too big for his newborn pajama. I had to always cut the bottoms. He was my gentle giant. And now he’s 16 a young man that has this beautiful heart. He’s so caring and loving with everyone. I know he has a bright future. But this year he will hopefully get his license and maybe get a summer job, lol! No but really He has his written text very soon. It’s crazy!

I’m so proud of him. And I can’t wait to see him grow more as a person. He has brought so much joy to my heart for 16 years. So Happy sweet 16 my baby.

Moms out there that might be worried about having a second baby because you feel you can’t love anyone as much as you do your first, don’t be scared. Your heart is capable of amazing things. You love them just as much and your heart grows fonder every year they grow. The heart is an amazing thing and gets bigger with the more people we allow in.

Till next post!

Ok so for today I wanted to share some cute items I found over at target and the 99 cent store. I had so much fun looking at all the valentine’s day decor. If you need some treats for kids classes or if you’re having a kids Valentine’s day party head over to 99 cent store. They had tons of cute stuff for kids. from treat boxes, head bands and hanging hearts. Besides Valentine cards, I’ll be making cupcakes for Breakers class. I found a cute treat box and cupcake toppers for only $.99 you can’t beat that.

The hubby and I don’t do Valentines day gifts. It’s just something we don’t do. I’ll give the boys a small treat and I prefer goodies, like cookies or donuts. So we always do something like that. I’ll make a fun dinner and set up the table fun for all of us. I figured until the boys are off doing their own thing, It’s a family affair, lol! So if you’re in the same boat as I am, I have a fun pizza recipe here! I usually make this with heart-shaped pepperoni or if I’m up to it I’ll try to form the dough in a heart! Fun and the boys like it. But as long as the Hubs walks in with donuts!

I do love to give Breaker’s teachers a fun gift. I mean they are handling our little ones all day. They are the real MVP’s, so I love to give them a treat. This is what I put together for them this year. He has 2 teachers so I did these cute baskets for them. I also shared another idea for a co-worker or just a special gal pal in your life. Most of these items are from Target. Check out the dollar section they have the heart chocolates and the heart-shaped plates. I love how target has these mini prosecco bottles. For the teachers gifts I found everything at Target in the Valentine section. I bought the baskets and oven holders at the 99 cent store. They came 2 in a package for both items. I thought this was fun so they can share with their families.

So ladies run before this stuff sells out! Hope this helped with some Valentine Ideas! Till next post!

Valentine’s Day look

Valentine’s Day look

Hi ladies! How’s February treating you? This weather is not so Winter in LA. I’m looking forward to spring. I’m really into floral looks. I can’t wait to buy some more for spring.  My son turned 14 on February 2nd. I can’t believe it. He’s becoming a young man. Such a good boy, Love you Dave.

So who goes all out for Valentine’s day? I myself love it. I look forward to buying little valentine cards for my kids class. This year it’s Breaker’s Turn. His first Valentine school celebration. He’s having a pizza party! Of course I’m making my easy pizza for the class! Check out the recipe if you haven’t already.

Today I’m sharing a very simple romantic look that would be perfect for a valentine date.    I know red is a popular color for valentine’s day. But for some reason when I think of the day, I see pink! I went with a pop of pink. But you can totally wear this with a pop of red!

I ordered this dress online from Zara when the big sale was going on. I scored this dress for less than $25. The shoes I also got on sale for under $50 online from Nordstrom. They are Top Shop brand. My earrings were a gift from my sis. She got them at Target my favorite brand Baublebar by sugar fix. They have so many cute styles that will make any spring/summer outfit perfect! You can use any black clutch or if you have a cute pink or red purse, you can always wear black shoes and use a bag for a pop of color. Hope you ladies like the look! I’ll link everything below.

A little blog update! If you are new to my blog, I update every month. I’m going to do this until I hit my one year. It’s for myself to document the feelings I had throughout my first year of blogging. It’s not easy at times. I’m a full-time stay at home mom. I was a working mom with my first son and I can honestly say it was easier to go to work. And this is from my experience. Not speaking for anyone. I think every mom rocks! And no mom has it easier. Blogging has helped me feel alive as a women. Getting more into it, I’m truly enjoying blogging. I have my days still that I doubt myself. The hubby says I’m too hard on myself. I still need to learn to not compare myself to others and just be true to who I am. It’s a work in progress. I live for when people say they like my blog. Even if it’s just one person. It makes me so happy! I love to share with you all! So thank you for reading. Don’t forget to follow along on Instagram. I’m going to start posting more outfit looks! I want to start including more daily easy looks. I mean let’s get real I don’t look put together almost 80% of the time, LOL! Till next post! Have a great rest of the week and lovely weekend.
