Hello my friends! Ok so I’m using January as a stepping stone into the new year! So why not share my steps with you! I don’t like to start off so crazy like giving myself all these rules and goals! Like for real it’s just torture to yourself! I like to start off with manageable goals! And once I start to see myself achieving these manageable goals, I add more! It’s less disappointing at the end.
So something I can already check off my list and let me tell you it’s the most important, is making our dr appointments and dental appointments. Health is the most important in my book! I made sure to schedule all appts so I know we are set and healthy! Some of us will put these off and let me tell you, if you have yearly goals that’s great! But nothing is more important than health. If you are not healthy, how are you going to accomplish anything? So make those appointments!
Dentist! Most of us hate them lol! Well not hate just scared of them. But oral care is just as important as physical. So get it over with and book those dental appointments! Believe me I have a huge phobia with the dentist but hell it feels good to get those choppers cleaned! So book your appointment!
Thats it! Getting those done for my family take a lot of stress off me in the beginning of the year! So we can proceed with our own individual goals and just be happy! Till next post!
Hello Ladies! Hope you all are doing well! I’m doing well. The boys have been so good. We are getting a schedule that works for us and we can’t wait for some more summer fun!
Today I wanted to share a few things I do for me. As a stay at home mom I think it’s easy to let certain things go. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t. I want to keep up with things I love to do for myself.
Everyone is different, and we all have unique things that make us feel good. So I say do them and remember to take care of yourself. We have an entire house of loved ones that count on us everyday so it’s important to keep ourselves feeling good.
Exercise is probably one of the most important that I do 5 times a week. As I get older I have to start worrying about different health issues. I recently had a physical and everything checked out great. I feel having an exercise plan that fits you is key to a healthy life. Not to mention exercising has helped me with anxiety. It’s something I do alone for myself. I wake up early to get it done. With the boys home I wake up early so I can have that time to myself before they get up. It’s my kind of meditation in the morning. I’ve been hooked on The fitness Marshall on YouTube. I do about 4 dance videos and I’ll do a few workouts with weights. I have seen such a difference on the outside and most important on the inside of how I see myself. I say try it! Create a workout plan for you and try to do something that you enjoy. I never leave my house to workout so you don’t have to belong to a gym or have a personal trainer. Good luck ladies!
Alone time! I’m always with the kids or the hubby. So I make sure to get some alone time away from home. Some of my favorite alone time things to do. I go shopping even if it’s just to look. I love walking the mall and just feeling free, browsing at my favorite stores. Grabbing a coffee alone. Or just going for a drive alone listening to music in the car with the windows down. That’s the best.
Grooming! Something I promised myself is to keep up with grooming. I get haircuts every 5 weeks to make me feel good. I get Mani and Pedi’s on a regular basis. I have eyelash extensions that make me feel good. These might seem petty to others but to me it’s important. I love feeling good on the outside too. It’s for me and only for me. Not to mention I count these as alone time. And the hubby is so good and encouraging. He loves this about me.
Going out for drinks! I enjoy hanging out with friends or the hubby. It’s a time I can have adult conversation and just relax. Nothing wrong with having a little time to enjoy! Cheers ladies!
Hello Beauties! Hope you all are having a nice week. The weather has been a little weird here in LA for this time of year. But no complaints, I’m enjoying this cozy weather. So who’s ready for summer vacation for the kiddos! I truly enjoy having them home and a little less running around on schedules. But I’m not going to lie and say I love it also, LOL! Be sure to read next weeks blog post. I’m going to talk more about how I get ready for the kids to be home for summer. And the places we will go and things we will do to keep them busy.
Today’s post I wanted to talk about my skin routine. I won’t go into too much, because I’m not a professional and we all have different skin. So what works for me might not work for you. But I’ll talk about what I’ve added to my skin routine and what’s working for me since my skin is aging.
I turned 39 this year. I started noticing a difference in my skin last year. I noticed more age spots on my face and of course those dreadful pores no one wants to see and some texture. I’ve tried so many different brands and I’ve never been super happy with the results. They worked ok. I wanted to be committed to a routine and I wasn’t finding the perfect one. Last year back in April 2017 I went to get a facial. I loved the way my skin felt after and of course after getting facials they will recommend products. Which I recommend that to anyone who feels they just haven’t committed to a routine and nothing seems to be working. I recommend getting a facial. I think that will help you to figure out what you really need. I’ll list 2 down below that I have had services from and really like the end results.
I started using Dermalogica. I had heard of it before but never used. I love this duo. I really like the way this duo leaves my skin. . Exfoliating is so important. We live in a polluted environment and we need deep cleanse. I exfoliate 2 days a week. It’s usually on hair washing days. The daily wash is great I really feel cleansed after using. I only use this face wash at night since my face is more dirty and especially after a makeup day.
This cleanser is what I use in the morning or on days I really don’t go outside. It’s less harsh than the Dermalogica. I really love this wash for mornings because our faces are not really that dirty and I think it’s good to keep some of our natural face oils. This cleanser is very light weight and creamy. Perfect for those with sensitive skin. You can find this at Target.
Lastly the most important is daily moisture with SPF I can’t stress this enough. I really like this one and have talked about it in other post. I think we all know that this is so important. It’s been my go to for well over a year.
I didn’t want to get into what serum, oils and eye cream I use because to be honest I haven’t found those holy grails. I do have to say I use a serum with vitamin C and I am loving that so far. I want to use it more to really give my stamp of approval. I do have a blog post up on the cream I use at night. Here it is! But all the others I have listed are my Holy grails. They work for me. I have normal to dry skin. Age spots and very minor wrinkles. Hope this helped if you are looking into some new products. I’ll also list the Dermalogica products below and the places I’ve had facials at.
Hello beauties! A week flew by so fast. I don’t know about you all but the time is on warp speed. I remember as a kid a week would feel like an eternity. As an adult geez, It’s like slow down I still have things to do. We’ve been busy so far this month. It’s a fun-filled month of family things. I really cherish family time. We have my uncles who is also my godfather(AKA Nino) his 60th birthday party and Mother’s day. So a very nice family filled weekend.
Today’s post is a long flirty dress look. I wanted to show you a possible Mother’s day outfit or just a fun spring look when you’re feeling extra flirty. I love long flowy dresses. I mean who doesn’t want to look cute and feel comfortable at the same time.
This dress I went with leopard print. I love leopard print but don’t wear it as much. When I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. I can wear it with sandals or heels to dress it up a little more. I can add a jean jacket to give it a casual look or a moto jacket to give it a more edgy look. This material is so soft and the cut is perfect. I purchased this dress from Zara it was a great price too. Another look I’m really liking is long girly dresses with sneakers. I think that look is perfect for mom’s running after little ones.
I also found these that are super cute and you can make them dressy or casual. Also from Zara! These kind of dresses are also perfect for trips. Less packing when you don’t have to pack top and bottoms. I know dresses will be on my packing list for sure. So easy and not so much thought. I’ve really got into making more time for me to get ready. I’m enjoying getting dressed up and just having more fun with style. Remember if you feel good about yourself life just seems a little easier. And taking time to fix yourself up a little more is a good step towards that.
A special note to all my Mamas out there. Happy Mother’s day! Being a Mom is so rewarding but also tough. We are very hard on ourselves and don’t give ourselves the credit we deserve. We are all doing a great job the way we know what’s best for Our kids. So every mom is unique and that’s what makes us all so special.
Hope you all enjoyed this post! and maybe some ideas to wear for Mother’s day! Till next post!
Hello my beautiful ladies! Today I wanted to give you all a blog update and life update. If you’re new to my blog. Every month I’ve written a blog update. I wanted to have my first year in blogging documented not only for myself to go back and see my growth, but for others that are thinking about starting a blog.
So today is exactly 10 months since my first post. I still get butterflies when I hit the post button. No matter what or how long I do this. I think I’ll always feel a little nervous posting. With the worry of will people read, will people like the post, will people think I’m lame, LOL! You know all the worries I shouldn’t have. As my blogging journey continues, I’m learning so much and loving every minute of it. Blogging has helped me step out of my mom routine to use my creative side and talk about things I love. I try to stay as true to myself in all my blog post and my instagram post. It hasn’t been easy, I honestly commend all the bloggers that have been in the game for years. I have learned the most important rule of blogging is consistency. Don’t give up keep posting content. Don’t post just to post. Make sure you post something worth reading and looking at. I don’t have time to waste and I don’t think my readers do to. So when I’m getting ready to post I really put my heart in all post. They honestly come from my true self. When I’m writing I put myself in a space talking to my good friends.
What to expect from my blog. I plan to bring more Family life to my Blog. Because that’s my life. I found myself getting a little stressed and giving myself anxiety just trying to think of what fashion post to put up or what’s the news styles we all need to have. I mean don’t get me wrong , I will still post about fashion and the coolest styles. But I will add more family moments and family talk to my blog. I can’t wait and Believe me it won’t be boring. I really hope you all follow along my blogging journey because I’m not stopping anytime soon!
Life update! Well I’ve been experiencing a lot of anxiety lately. I haven’t felt like this in a really long time. It’s getting better. I work out twice a day just to relieve the anxiety. I haven’t pin pointed the cause. But it will get better. I have to keep telling myself to slow down and breathe. I think Mom life can get a little overwhelming for all. If you experience anxiety just slow down and really focus on you. I really feel exercising helps.
On a brighter note. I have something super exciting coming later this year. And let me tell you after summer break with the kiddos home and back to school madness. This upcoming adventure will be so needed. I will be attending my lovely cousins wedding in Punta Cana. My kids and hubby will not be going. SO that’s major for me. I haven’t left my breaker ever. So when i decided to go I had so many thoughts in my head. You know the mom guilt. But I really am so happy to be going for my cousin. I get to enjoy some R&R with my family. My mom included, I’m so excited. And believe me follow me on instagram because I will for sure be posting there. I’ll be posting a packing guide for the blog right before. It will be destination wedding packing. And I’ll be posting a recap of my vacay after. So please stay tuned to what I have in store for Stylesencillo.com.
I love all of you that take the time to read my post. And appreciate the sweet comments. Thank you thank you. Means the world to me. Till next post.
Hello my Beauties! Happy first week of March! Yesterday marked a month till my Birthday. I have a post coming at you on my Birthday. I will be talking about getting older and how I feel about it. So stay tuned.
As most of you know I update every month around the 1st on my blog. I started July 1, 2017. That was the date of my very first post and the day my Blog went Live. I will give a monthly update until my one year!
So for today It’s not about the pretty pictures, the cute clothes, the pretty makeup or the best new hair product. Today is about being real. If you are new to my Blog, I am a stay at home mom. I have been for the last 4 years. I have to say it’s not the easiest thing to do. I was always used to getting up going to work and being the best I can in the office. I’d come home and do what I had to do for David(my oldest) and my day would be done. I mean don’t get me wrong working mom’s don’t have it easy, No way! I had my days that I wished I could stay home with my son. So now that I have the chance to stay home with Breaker(my second son) sometimes I wish I worked, LOL!
My days consist of waking up at 6am to get my oldest son up and ready for school. I drive him to school, come home and most of the days start my daily routine. Which is cleaning, laundry oh gosh never-ending laundry, LOL! I squeeze in a at home workout because it helps with my energy and just makes me feel good. My days are mostly in the kitchen, prepping lunch for Breaker and I. And starting dinner prep. I pick up David from school and finish dinner. I like to feed the kids by 5:30. I will most likely eat and clean up the dinner mess. Once the Hubs gets home from work, I will warm up his dinner and most likely finally take a shower. By this time it’s about 8pm. Everyone’s fed and the dinner mess is clean and I finally sit down for the day. Like really sometimes I don’t sit down till 8-8:30. Breaker does go to school two days a week for 3 hours each day. So those day’s I use to run my errands like target, market etc. On the fun days when he’s at school I get me a Mani and Pedi. Those are the best. I’m not complaining at all, I’m super lucky I get to stay home with my kids. But I bow down to all the stay at home Moms out there! I honestly bow down to all moms! Mom life is the best life but it’s not the easiest.
Now that’s real! Now to the blog update. I can’t say how proud I am of myself to have kept up with it for this long. My blog has been like therapy for me. Getting to take all those pretty pictures. Getting dressed up and putting makeup on feels so good. I live in work out gear and no makeup, So photo days are great. It’s therapy for me because it gives me something to look forward to on a weekly basis. I love putting new content up and sharing things with you all. On the daily I’m with my 4-year-old that all we talk about are trucks and toys. My teenager most of the time doesn’t want to talk. So having my blog I get to talk to you all once a week. I love that so much. I’ve gotten a better system when it comes to my blog and photos. I try to plan out at least 3 months of blog work so that I’m always working ahead of time. Sometimes I have writers block, Like what am I going to write. But like I said I love to share so I just try to keep it as real as I can. I want you to read my Blog and feel like we are talking over a cup of coffee. I’m trying my best and it brings me joy. I appreciate all of my blog followers, IG followers and all the comments left on my blog post so much. I truly feel so motivated by those comments.
Sending you all positive vibes and to all those stay at home Mamas, Cheers to being Bad ass! My working Mamas you guys rock! And the most precious to me because I was raised by one. The single Mamas doing it all, I think you ladies are the most amazing ever! Love you all. Till next post!
Hello beauties! Hope you all are having a great week so far! So who else is slowly getting into their fitness goals?! It’s been a struggle the last couple of days to stay on track. Sometimes Motherhood is exhausting, I don’t even want to work out. I’ve been pushing myself everyday to do a workout. Even if it’s just 10 minutes. I’ve been obsessed with The fitness Marshall on YouTube. It’s basically 3-4 minute dance workouts. Take a look and try them out! I’m also super excited, I have some fun blog post coming up. Cute outfit inspo for Valentine’s Day, some cute spring looks and more. I’m also going to have a fun pizza recipe that takes 30 minutes to prep and bake. The kids love it! So please if you’re not already subscribed please do so! And thank you for stopping over on Stylesencillo.
So let’s get started, LOL! My little one says this all the time. Today’s post is pretty much a vision of what the hubby and I would love our year to be like as a couple. Sometimes with life, work, kids our relationship gets put on the back burner. And that can create some tension. For the most part we are pretty good together handling everything around the house and with the kids. I do stay home for my kids. I’m very fortunate, that I can do so. He is at work full-time Monday through Friday. Most of our free time is to be as a family. And that is one thing that is very important. But after 4 years ( since Breakers birth) I’m ready to re-kindle our relationship. We did vision boards on what our goals are for a healthy year as a couple.
My vision of a healthy year together would be to communicate. Which I found a phrase that said “Be completely honest about your desires” I think this is truly important. We as parents are so exhausted. I think being honest about needing a Break or even some sexy time. It’s ok to say it, I have a problem where I feel he can read my mind. I need to be better at expressing myself for what my needs are. Another phrase I liked was MOVE FORWARD, focus on what’s ahead not what’s behind us. I would also like more PASSION. He might kill me for saying this, LOL. But I love kissing and touching before sexy time and he has a joke that he tells me about that. He knows what it is. But I would love more passion. It never gets old. I would also like more Date nights. I love to hear music and Dance. He loves music it’s one of the things we love together. So for sure more date nights. My last one I will talk about is the phrase HIT REFRESH, and I’ll admit I don’t think he gets that much of this one. I’ve made it a point to go shopping alone, nails done, or whatever I have planned for me. I think time apart alone is also good. We all need to Refresh. He is already so good about this one, He encourages me to get out and enjoy me time. So this year I hope he does it also. It really does help. Sharing a little without giving all my dirty laundry out, LOL! So to conclude I would love for us to communicate honestly about needs, add some spice to life, plan more date nights and refresh! Parenting is hard and most important thing to good parenting is making sure Mom and Dad are in it together. Love you Babe! XO
His Vision Board was a little more Rated R, LOL! But we both have the same goal. Number one is to spend more time together alone. It’s difficult with kids, but it’s what we will work on. So hopefully more date nights this year. Hope you all enjoyed this short and personal post. Till next post!
