Trends I’m loving

Trends I’m loving

Hello friends! I’m back, honestly my days are getting shorter so that means I have less time to do my creative stuff for myself! I also just get into moods where I’m just overwhelmed with home stuff. But I’m back this week and I’m excited to share some trends I’m loving for those summer plans. Last year we were all stuck at home. This year looks like we are going to have a somewhat normal summer. And I’m ready.

Last year I didn’t really shop much, this year I was excited to add some new items to my closet! I always see what the trends are but I don’t necessarily buy too much on trend items. I keep it basic and timeless. Or I get inexpensive trendy stuff. If you read my blogs you know I have a thing for Zara and let me tell you why! I’m 42 and I feel like they have great age appropriate items but always stay within the fashion trends without breaking the bank. So I tend to gravitate towards Zara. I will order from small boutiques online once in a while. Recently I bought a cute matching set that was great quality and those are one of the trends I’m loving, matching sets! Seriously you can’t go wrong with them and they just look so cute on, check out sabo skirt! I’ll link below!

One of my favorite trends at the moment are Dresses with sneakers, I love it so much. It looks cute and I can still keep up with my boys. I think a feminine dress along with some good old school converse just makes it fun! I love the platform converse just adds a little feminine touch to your look! Here are some INSPO’s!

Here are some matching sets I think look cute for a day out! I linked Sabo skirt above they have some cute matching sets and Zara has some cute ones as well! You also can’t go wrong with a cute romper! You are one and done! They are comfy and versatile can take it day to night!

Also another trend I’m loving are those cute colorful rings along with a fun manicure! I’m loving having fun with my nails right now. It makes me happy and those cute rings are just so cute!! I’ve purchased some at Shein that are inexpensive. Check them out!

I think what I’m most excited about this fashion season is color! Adding some color is just what I’m gonna do. It doesn’t have to be your entire outfit. It can be a cute hat, your nails, accessories or some fun sunglasses. Either way I’m looking forward to a colorful summer!

I really hope you found some INSPO from this post! This is pretty much my Pinterest boards! If you ever need some INSPO head over to Pinterest! Happy shopping and thank you for reading!

Basics for your closet!

Basics for your closet!

Hello friends! Happy February, one month down and I hope you all are doing well! We are doing good. Kids still home learning. It’s become such a routine at this point, it’s working. Less me time but I’m ok with that! If you haven’t checked out my last blog post on the little me time I give myself daily, check it out!

Today I wanted to share my favorite basics. I’m all about basics, I always have been but even more now. I mean this entire year that’s gone by we have been living in lounge wear. But some good basics in your closet just really help to create some effortless styles. I’m also into not breaking the bank! But buying good quality basics to last you!

Most of my jeans I get from Zara, they are good quality and don’t break the bank. I think a good straight leg style that can be dressed up or down, is definitely a necessity. I like a cute distressed style. And you should also have a skinny Jean with no rips for a different style to add to your closet. I think a dark and light is good! Colored jeans are fun but not a basic they tend to go in and out of style. At least that’s my opinion.

Body suits are a must in a closet. They fit so good with jeans and you can also dress them up with a dress pant or skirt. You can even elevate your sweats and wear it like that too. I would go with a black and grey. I think also having a sleeveless and long sleeve works too. Sleeveless are good for layering! I’ll link some cool body suits below!

A white button up is a must in your closet! You can wear it so many ways! I like a more oversized fit. I would wear it with jeans, leggings, shorts and even over a swimsuit. A crisp button up is a basics staple! H&M always has a really good selection.

Matching sets are so in right now! And I’m totally drooling over them! I love a good matching set. Whether it be casual or dressy a matching set is so fun! And did I say versatile. You can mismatch it and make up to 4 outfits out of one set! And I think a matching loungewear set just gives you such a chic look without taking away comfort! Zara has some cute sets and so many more! You just can’t got wrong!

Our closet always needs some dresses! Always stick to more neutral colors. I love a black, beige and even pink. You can layer a fitted tee dress so cute and it’s such an easy basic to style. The shoes can make it casual or dressy.

Shoes!! I love shoes it’s probably my fav to buy! But it took me about, hmmm almost 40 years to stop buying the trendy shoes. I end up getting rid of them super fast. I’m all about simple and classics. Again if you stick to more neutral tones you should have an everlasting shoe. I don’t go cheap with my shoes either. I mean I’m not buying louboutins! But I’ll always go with a better brand. I think a cute dress up sneaker is always a must, I love converse. A doc Martin or any kind of combat boot works great as a staple. I’ll link mine below. A cute tall boot is a must! I went with tan but a black is always great! I’ll link mine below.

Seriously closet staples are great and I think will eliminate the I have nothing to wear phase! Hope this helped, and see you on the next post!

My designer dupe finds!

My designer dupe finds!

Hello my friends! It always feels so long after each post! Hope you all are doing well. I’m just over here trying to get a routine going now that the boys are at school! I’m starting to enjoy it. And I’m definitely trying to make more time to work on my blog. I have ideas and I want to dip my hands in more creative stuff. So Stay tuned!

Today I wanted to do something fun! I’ve seen these before and I always look for dupes! One of my favorite stores is Zara and they just have so many cute styles that look a lot like those beautiful designer items that we all love!

I love me a good designer bag, my favorite is Louis Vuitton. I will one day own a Chanel bag, lol! But for now I love to find cute items that look similar to the designer ones! One of the big crazes right now is bottega Veneta! You know those popular square shape open toe heels! They are gorgeous. And the famous slouchy leather bag. The top row are the designer ones, the bottom are from Zara! I think these are great dupes if you want the look!

Next would be Chanel! Chanel is just so timeless and ladylike. I love the Chanel two-toned sling backs. They are so adorable. Well I found these dupes at Zara! Not a sling back but they have the same affect. I think the Zara ones are adorable for fall!

Mesh heels are so in right now! And I love the Jimmy chop ones! But like I said I like me a good dupe! I saw these mesh mules from Zara and they made me think of the jimmy chop mesh heels. I think a good dupe if you want that look! Jimmy choo on top, Zara on bottom!

Last but not least! My favorite because this pink fendi bag is on my wish list. But as I was scrolling though Zara’s website I saw this one and it reminded me of the fendi one! I think a cute alternative for those popular bucket bags! Fendi on bottom, Zara on top!

Well ladies I had fun doing this, I hope you all found it fun and let me know if this was helpful! I’d love to do more! Till next post!
